Certified B Corps are for-profit companies that meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. We are proud to become one and to join a global movement of people using business as a force for good.


Why did we become a B Corp?

We are a business in the world. The world has finite resources and is at risk because of existing bad business practises.

We felt that we had to respond to this in some way, and we believe that becoming a B Corp gave us the best tools and frameworks for continually re-evaluating how we conduct ourselves.

If you were building a “good” business from scratch, the B Corp guidelines are the '"first principles'" you'd start from.


What are our obligations as a B Corp?

Under the B Corp legal requirements, HAA should use business as a force for good, by:

Each financial year, HAA has a duty to prepare and circulate an impact report to its members. The link to our most recent report is here if you want to take a look.


We re-certify every three years

As part of their commitment, businesses must go through a recertification process every 3 years to ensure they are held to account and making progress in our performance areas.

We re-certified as a B Corp in May 2023, and received a new impact score is 106.6 (prev. 93.2) 😁


Our impact report

B Corps have to re-certify every three years to demonstrate they’ve met the standards set by B Corp. In the intervening years, B Corps are required to provide an impact report to update on their progress and to continue to be accountable and transparent about their impact.
